Trip to St Thomas More Secondary School
Last week we went to St Thomas More School and we got to go into their awesome science labs. We were learning about the different metals and what happened when you mixed them with water and acid. We go to wear googles that didn't fit us to protect our eyes. We got to have fish and chips for lunch which was yummy.(Abigail Peters)
Woodlands Farm Trust
Today we had a busy day at Woodlands Farm Trust. Firstly we went around the farm looking at all the animals, learning about where our food comes from and we even had a chance to stroke the animals. Then by following instructions we made some delicious chocolate and strawberry ice cream which we ate!
Maths Workshop with St Thomas More
Today we had some visitors; it was children from St Thomas More Secondary School. They opened up a shop for us and with our pocket money from Miss Darren, we went and bought lots of stuff. Our friends from St Thomas More were helping us to count our money and explain to us how much change we would get. We had lots of fun and made some new friends!
As part of our Science topic, which is animals and their habitats, we went to the Horniman Museum. Here we went to lots of exhibitions and saw lots of remains of animals and even lots of stuffed animals. Then we took part in a workshop where we looked at how animals adapt into their different animals we even got to hold some animals.
