On Thursday we were visited by Cairis and her Wiggly Wild Show. During our assembly we were excited to learn all about the world of minibeasts, bugs, reptiles and creepy crawlies. We learned how the animals are cared for and properly treated. Cairis also brought along a hedgehog to show us, but she had to wear gloves because of the prickly spines. We look forward to seeing and handling many more creatures in our class workshops.
The theme for this year’s British Science Week is "Change", encouraging young people to think about and investigate the changes happening in the world all around us; from seasons and climate, to materials and energy. It is also a chance for young people to consider the changes they can enact to have a positive impact on the future.
The week began with a whole school assembly where Mr Timothy demonstrated some fascinating experiments. Everyone was very excited, especially when Mr Timothy set fire to his gloves.
